We are delighted to announce the launch of Copyright Classroom, a new online learning resource designed especially for Transition Year (TY) students.

Copyright plays a vital role in the creative industries — from art and music to theatre, film, and design. Yet many students are unaware of how copyright affects their own creative work or the material they use in projects. Copyright Classroom introduces these concepts in a clear, engaging, and practical way.
The platform has been developed with the Artistic & Creative group of Leaving Certificate subjects in mind, making it a valuable tool for:
Art
Music
Drama, Film & Theatre Studies
Design & Communication Graphics
Through interactive lessons, case studies, and project ideas, TY students will learn how copyright protects creators, supports innovation, and ensures respect for intellectual property — all while making connections to their own studies and creative practice.
We encourage principals to share this resource with TY Co-ordinators and relevant subject heads, so that students can begin building awareness of copyright as they prepare for senior cycle studies and future creative careers.
